2025 Alexandria Historic House Tour

The 2025 Alexandria Historic House Tour took place on July 19, and before we say anything else, let us say:

THANK YOU!

We’re so grateful for everyone who made the tour such a success. We could not have had the event we did without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved:

To our hosts: Thank you for opening your spaces to our guests, allowing us to share in your love for your historic locations! Your homes were the stars of the show, and truly transported people through generations of Alexandria history.

To our docents and volunteers: Thank you for bringing history to life with your behind-the-scenes studying and delivery of local history to hundreds of guests, and for the gracious gift of your time and attention!

To our visitors: Thank you for bringing such enthusiasm and joy to the tour, and for local history and your Douglas County Historical Society! We were thrilled to welcome so many new faces to Alexandria and the locations that keep our history alive.

To the businesses and organizations that assisted us in planning and hosting this year’s tour: Thank you for your willingness to contribute through traditional sponsorships, donations, serving as a “resting point” for guests, or providing supplies to docents and attendees. Please visit our 2025 sponsor links below and keep them in mind as you’re doing business locally!

Did you attend the tour? We’d love to hear from you!

We want to extend an additional thank you to our guests who’ve completed our Post-Tour Survey. Your feedback is incredibly helpful as we look toward the 2026 Alexandria Historic House Tour, and assists us in knowing what you loved and what you might like to see in the future. We’re also excited to share your notes on these locations with homeowners and site coordinators, many of whom you may have gotten the chance to meet while exploring Alexandria.

If you attended the tour and haven’t yet, please take a moment (likely ~5 minutes) to complete the Visitor Survey at the link above. We appreciate the notes we’ve received so far, and would love to hear from as many people as possible!
