Twos-Day Blizzard 1922 – And FREE printable card

Twos-Day Blizzard 1922 – And FREE printable card

Here’s a bit of local history on the “Twos-Day” blizzard – and a FREE pintable Valentine’s Day Card featuring historic photos.

Almost 100 years ago exactly, the people of Douglas County were probably still digging themselves out from the 2/22/1922 blizzard. Across Feb. 21-23, a heavy blizzard swept through the northern half of Minnesota while thunderstorms swept through the south. The date – which will be repeated this year in its abbreviated form – amusingly came out as 2/22/22. Excitement is already building for this date in 2022, referred to as “Twos-Day” where it’s printed on merchandise and t-shirts. To add to the amusement, the 2022 “Twos-Day” occurs on a Tuesday.
